Common use of BEGINNING TEACHERS Clause in Contracts

BEGINNING TEACHERS. ✓ All beginning teachers will be partnered with a mentor. ✓ Mentors will receive $425.00 per new teacher per year. ✓ Mentors will support no more than 3 new teachers concurrently. ✓ New teachers entering the district after January 31st will join the following year’s cohort. ✓ Mentors providing service for a semester or less will be compensated at $212.50 per inductee. ✓ For the purposes of the New Teacher Mentoring Program, teachers will be considered ‘Beginning Teachers’ through the end of their second year of employment.
