Common use of Behavioral Health and Juvenile Clause in Contracts

Behavioral Health and Juvenile. Counselor On-Call Mental Health and Juvenile personnel shall accrue twelve (12) hours of compensatory time for each weekly on-call rotation duty and any hours worked on call-out. However, compensatory time shall accrue at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) hours for each hour actually worked on holidays. Personnel not involved in on-call rotation duty but called by on-call staff to assist in transporting a client to a protective facility will accrue one (1) hour of compensatory time for each hour worked assisting the on-call personnel. However, compensatory time shall accrue at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) hours for each hour actually worked on holidays. All such hours worked and all hours accrued shall be documented and reported to the Finance office of the County. Compensatory time accrued from on-call duty shall be combined with time accrued from regular overtime so that it becomes part of the 60 hour maximum that can be carried into each new fiscal year, and the time in excess of 60 hours will be paid at the end of the next regular pay period (see Article X, Section 6, Overtime). If the employee is unable to schedule such time off and leaves County employment, the employee shall be paid for the time accrued at his/her regular pay. Designated Mental Health personnel providing back-up pager duty for each weekly on-call rotation of beeper duty and any subsequent hours worked on call-out shall be reimbursed a flat rate of $200.00 per week of back-up pager rotation. Back-up pager duty falls outside all other types of pager duty agreements Polk County has established prior with AFSCME Local 173.
