Bilingual Proficiency. The City shall pay $1,250 annually, the first pay period in January, made by a separate check, for those supervisors conversant in Spanish or a second language deemed necessary by the City to fulfill their job duty as a supervisor. The following criteria must be met to qualify for the annual incentive pay: A. Supervisors must initially pass a proficiency examination prepared by the City. Once certified, a supervisor does not need to re-certify on a yearly basis; however, management has the right to require re-certification at any time. B. The number of certified participants shall be determined by the department’s needs and the fiscal constraints of the City of North Las Vegas.
