Common use of Board Support and Assistance Clause in Contracts

Board Support and Assistance. The Board recognizes its responsibility to give all reasonable support and assistance to teachers with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline in the classroom. Whenever it appears that a particular pupil requires the attention of special counselors, social workers, law enforcement personnel, physicians, or other professional persons, the Board will take reasonable steps to relieve the teacher of responsibility with respect to such pupils.

When a problem with a student verified as being served as a handicapped child as defined in Chapter 89 and PL 94-142 occurs, the Board principal shall convene the Individual Education Plan Team which will take reasonable steps to relieve handle the teacher of responsibility with respect to such pupilsproblem from that point.
