Body Position. Stand firm but relaxed. Keep weight between the wheels. Don’t stand too close to the front or lean too far back. Shift your weight to the rear when applying brakes, and lean towards the front when accelerating. Keep feet apart for more stability.
Body Position. As compared with controls the patients spent a larger part of their time lying down and shorter part of their time upright. No significant differences emerged between both groups with regard to the mean duration of time spent sitting or the mean number of body position changes per hour (Table 2). The time spent lying was related to the self-reported time lying down (Xxxxxxx'x r = 0.84, p < 0.000). Sex had no influence on the objective measures. As compared with controls, the patients had a decreased mean arm acceleration while sitting and upright, and a decreased mean leg acceleration while in upright position (Table 2). Sex had no influence on the objective measures.
