Booking Videos. At the earliest reasonable time in the booking process, the Sheriff will effectively communicate the contents of the Inmate Handbook and booking process to Persons with Auditory Disabilities. In addition to the provision of Auxiliary Aids and Services provided for elsewhere in this Agreement, the Sheriff agrees to specifically develop videos of an ASL interpretation of the contents of the Inmate Handbook and the Sheriff’s booking process video in use as of the Effective Date (the “Booking Videos”). The Booking Videos will be completed within six (6) months of the Effective Date. The Sheriff shall be solely responsible for the script and all production components of the Booking Videos. Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (“CCDC”) will provide written confirmation that the Booking Videos comply with the requirements of this Agreement within thirty (30) days of their receipt of the Booking Videos. The Sheriff will also provide appropriate viewing technology, a space to view the video that minimizes distractions for the Person with an Auditory Disability, and clear instructions to permit the Person with an Auditory Disability to watch the video. The Booking Videos will be created with the assistance of, and featuring a Qualified Interpreter or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx, depending on the reasonable availability and cooperation of Xx. Xxxxxx. The Sheriff shall use reasonable efforts to coordinate the creation of the Booking Videos with Xx. Xxxxxx, including the provision of a sign language interpreter for Xx. Xxxxxx’x communication during the creation and production of the video, before engaging a Qualified Interpreter in lieu of Xx. Xxxxxx, and shall notify CCDC as soon as practicable in the event that a Qualified Interpreter is engaged in lieu of Xx. Xxxxxx for this purpose. The filming of the Booking Videos shall permit adequate time for the Qualified Interpreter or Xx. Xxxxxx to sign the contents of the Inmate Handbook in an unrushed manner, unrelated to the rate of speech of any accompanying audio. The Booking Videos shall have similar production value and content to other videos the Sheriff utilizes for inmates.
