Common use of Breaker Clause in Contracts

Breaker. Breaker failure protection shall be provided for the 115kV breaker. This protection must trip the appropriate adjacent breakers and send direct transfer trip to the Eastover and Schaghticoke Substations. For loss of SF6, the breaker must trip and block close. (Note: When the Interconnection Customer’s interrupter fails to interrupt for internal station faults and loss of SERVICE AGREEMENT NO. 2638 SF6 condition, Interconnection Customer is not to rely on the Connecting Transmission Owner’s 115kV system for remote backup.) DTT receive from the Schaghticoke and Eastover Substations will be required to trip the Interconnection Customer’s 115kV breaker for a line relay operation, or breaker failure at the Schaghticoke and Eastover Substations. The Interconnection Customer shall provide on/off switches for the DTT schemes.

(Note: When the Interconnection CustomerSmall Generating Facility’s interrupter fails to interrupt for internal station faults and loss of SERVICE AGREEMENT NO. 2638 SF6 SF-6 condition, the Interconnection Customer is not to rely on the Connecting Transmission Owner’s 115kV 46 kV system for remote backup.) DTT receive from the Schaghticoke Inghams and Eastover Valley Substations will be required to trip the Interconnection Customer’s 115kV 46 kV circuit breaker for a line relay operation, operation or breaker failure at the Schaghticoke Inghams and Eastover Valley Substations.
