Bus Attendants. All new Bus Attendants will be paid at salary level one (1) of the salary schedule and shall have a probationary period of ninety (90) calendar days.
Bus Attendants. Unit members hired by the District as bus attendants must possess and maintain their accreditation through training to serve as a bus attendant.

Bus Attendants. 1. The duties and responsibilities of the bus attendant are as listed in the Driver’s Handbook.
2. Workday: Each bus attendant shall have the option of being guaranteed a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week. Each attendant will receive a copy of their signed, contracted route sheet within 5 days.
3. If an attendant has weekly assigned bus duties which are less than their guaranteed hours, they will be assigned other duties.
Bus Attendants. Bus attendants will be provided on runs where it is deemed necessary either because of the physical disability of students transported or because of behavioral problems. The Transportation Supervisor shall make the final decision in collaboration with the Director of Special Education. The Attendant wage increases are as follows: Rate 2020-2021 Hourly Rate
Bus Attendants. A. All bus attendant assignments shall be finalized by the last Monday in September following the procedure in Article XII Section C.
B. Bus attendants shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours of work per day during the regular school year. Should the district require fewer hours, the attendants shall receive the minimum three (3) hours of pay per day.
C. When determining work hours, seniority will be considered.
D. All available extra work and/or field trips will first be offered to a regular bus attendant before being made available to a substitute attendant provided such run does not interfere with the bus attendant’s regular assignment. All such runs shall be assigned in accordance with Article XII Section C.
E. If extra trips begin fifteen (15) minutes before or after a bus attendant’s regular run, the bus attendant shall be compensated for that time.

The jacket selection will be decided by the Director of Transportation with input from the Association. Final approval will reside with the ISD Superintendent.
