BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES AND STEWARDS. 6.01 The Business Representative of the Union may have access to all working areas during regular working hours, but in any event, his visits shall, in no circumstances, interfere with the progress of the work. Prior to attending at working areas, the Business Representative shall seek permission to so attend, from the Manager or designate of the Employer, and such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. 6.02 No discrimination shall be shown against any Shop Xxxxxxx for carrying on his duties, provided he gets Manager or designate permission, but in no case shall his duties unreasonably interfere with the progress of work. It is agreed that up to two (2) Stewards and 2 alternate stewards may be appointed at the location of the Employer by a Representative of the Union, who shall notify the Employer before they can be recognized. The Stewards will be responsible for reporting any disputes to the Employer and the Union Representative so these can be dealt with in a proper manner without delay. It is agreed that the Stewards shall be employees who have attained seniority, that is, employees who have passed the probationary period. (a) It is agreed that, for the purposes of collective bargaining, the Union is permitted to appoint two (2) employees to be members of a negotiating committee representing the Union and the employees in the bargaining unit. The Union shall notify the Employer of the persons so nominated, and the Employer shall not be required to recognize the persons until such notification has occurred. It is expressly understood that in (b) The Union will endeavor to ensure that the members of the negotiating committee constitute two (2) Stewards. 6.04 Stewards, provided they are able to satisfactorily perform the work available, shall be one of the last three (3) men retained by the Employer in the event of a layoff.

It is agreed that the Stewards shall be employees selected from the bargaining unit. (a) It is agreed that, for the purposes of collective bargaining, the Union is permitted to appoint two (2) employees to be members of a negotiating committee representing the Union and the employees in the bargaining unit. The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the persons so nominated, names of such Stewards or alternates at the time of their appointment and the Employer shall not be required to recognize the persons any Stewards until such notification it has occurredbeen so notified. In the event a committee person is unable to attend a meeting, the Union may bring an alternative. The Employer will continue to make any contributions towards Employee benefits outlined in Appendix A for the Negotiating Committee members. 5.06 The Employer is not responsible for any costs associated with a Xxxxxxx performing their role on behalf of the last three (3) men retained by the Employer in the event of a layoffUnion or its Members.

It is agreed that the Stewards shall be at least twenty one (21) years of age, and shall be employees who have attained seniority, that is, employees who have passed the probationary period. (a) It is agreed that, for the purposes of collective bargaining, the Union is permitted to appoint two (2) employees to be members of a negotiating committee representing the Union and the employees in the bargaining unit. The Union shall notify the Employer of the persons so nominated, and the Employer shall not be required to recognize the persons until such notification has occurred. It is expressly understood that inin consideration of the size of the bargaining unit, not more than one Committeeman will be appointed from any one job classification or designated area of work skills. (b) The Union will endeavor to ensure that the members of the negotiating committee constitute two (2) Stewards. 6.04 Stewards, provided they are able to satisfactorily perform the work available, shall be one of the last three (3) men retained by the Employer in the event of a layoff.

The Union shall inform the Employer of the name of the official xxxxxxx, who shall notify the Employer before they can be recognizeda journeyman qualified in his trade. The Stewards will xxxxxxx may be responsible for reporting any disputes verbally appointed but, immediately thereafter, written notice of same appointment shall be given to the Employer and where possible, the Association of Commercial and Industrial Contractors of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Island Inc. Recognition of the xxxxxxx shall be effective from receipt of notification of appointment and shall be effective until written notification of revocation is received. 14:03 The xxxxxxx shall be recognized as the representative of the Union Representative so these can be dealt with in a proper manner without delay. It is agreed that on the Stewards job, his duties shall be employees who have attained seniority, to see that is, employees who have passed the probationary period. If it is unreasonable to maintain the Xxxxxxx, a substitute Xxxxxxx shall be appointed by the xxxxxxx. 14:05 The Employer, if requested shall give authorized representatives of the Union the names of the employees on the job site covered by this Agreement. 14:06 The Employer and the Union agree to meet before the start of a layoffproject in order to discuss manpower requirements.

The Business Representative shall first make his presence known to the Supervisory Personnel of the Company and state the purpose of his visit. Permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. 5.02 The Business Representative of the Union may have access appoint a Xxxxxxx/s and any such Xxxxxxx/s shall be recognized as the representative of the Union on the job. The Company shall be notified by registered mail of any xxxxxxx appointment and the number of stewards. The stewards shall be limited to all working areas one for each of the pipe and precast departments. In the event that a second or third shift is added to the schedule, the Union may appoint an additional xxxxxxx to cover each shift. The Company, in the absence of any such registered mail, shall recognize no employee as the representative of the Union on the job in any transaction concerning the application in full or part of this agreement, other than the Business Representatives of the Union. 5.03 The Stewards shall be allowed reasonable and necessary time during their regular working hours, but to conduct business relative to this Agreement in any event, his visits shall, in no circumstances, interfere with the progress and out of the workPlants, without loss of pay, provided that the Xxxxxxx receives permission from his xxxxxxx. The Stewards will be responsible for reporting any disputes to the Employer and the Union Representative so these can be dealt with in a proper manner without delay. It is agreed that the Stewards shall be employees who have attained seniority, that is, employees who have passed the probationary periodplant yards. 5.04 When overtime is worked by more than four (a4) It is agreed that, for the purposes of collective bargaining, the Union is permitted to appoint two (2) employees to be members of a negotiating committee representing the Union and the employees in the bargaining unitplant and/or yard surrounding the plant, the Xxxxxxx shall be included. The Union In this regard, the Company, in retaining such Shop Xxxxxxx, shall notify have the Employer right, subject to the grievance procedure, to judge the skill and qualifications of the persons so nominatedXxxxxxx concerned, and the Employer shall not be required in relation to recognize the persons until such notification has occurred.
