Common use of By appointment Clause in Contracts

By appointment. The teacher may request approval from his/her primary supervisor to place significant items in the teacher’s file maintained by the Director of Human Resources. The teacher shall have the right to reproduce any of the contents of the files at the teacher's expense and to submit for inclusion in the files written information in response to any material contained in them; provided, however, the School District may destroy such files as provided by law. After an item has been in the file three (3) years, a teacher may appeal to the Superintendent to have that item removed. The Superintendent will review each request on a case-by-case basis and reach a decision. No decision with respect to these requests will be precedent setting.
