Camera Platforms. The LOC shall provide camera platforms as requested by FIS, suitably constructed, stable, protected with railings and certified according to the law and safety regulations of the hosting nation, on which the HB and UBs may place their fixed position cameras. LOC shall provide the required space/areas for these platforms and shall be responsible for the construction of the structure and for the installation of cable ducts and/or burying of the cables for the cameras of the HB and UB's as well as for the supply and use of domestic and/or technical power, if required. The LOC shall further provide construction services during the FIS Championships in case of changes/adjustments need to me made to the constructions and installations due to snow conditions or course set changes. Additional platforms shall also be provided by the LOC, suitably constructed, stable, protected with railings and certified according to the law and safety regulations of the hosting nation, from which portable ENG (Electronic News Gathering) cameras are operated. Furthermore, the LOC will provide the necessary platforms and installations for state-of-the-art cameras. The designs, dimensions, materials to be used and access ways (for both operators and cables) shall be decided by the HB in consultation with FIS and/or the LOC. The HB shall take into account the reasonable views of FIS and/or the LOC in accordance with safety considerations. All camera positions will be constructed under the instructions of the HB. Access to these platforms will be limited exclusively to broadcasters which have the specific right to gain access. The number and positioning shall be communicated by the HB to LOC. LOC is responsible for those platforms and installations and will hold the HB harmless from any claims related directly and/or indirectly to those platforms and/or installations where the LOC is shown to be responsible. The HB shall decide as soon as practically possible but not later than eight (8) months, unless otherwise agreed between the HB and the LOC prior to the FIS Championships (e.g. due missing test events or if further tests on snow are required) the places where it wishes the LOC to locate camera platforms, taking into account the likely needs of the HB and UBs as well as the practical constraints of the Venue.
