Common use of Cancellation Guidelines Clause in Contracts

Cancellation Guidelines. If a student submits the UWEC contract, decides to no longer enroll at CVTC prior to the and notifies UWEC before January 23, 2022 (first day of housing contract), the student will be released from the terms of the contract and if received, $500 prepayment is refunded. If student drops enrollment at CVTC and notifies UWEC Housing on or after the first day of the housing contract, Sunday, January 23, 2022, the $500 Housing Deposit Pre-payment will be forfeited and is non-refundable. If student checked into their housing assignment, they will be responsible for per day pro-rated charges until the check-out date. The $500 housing deposit prepayment will be applied to any unpaid balance and any remaining portion will be forfeited. If the student owes more than $500, then this amount will be applied to the balance and the resulting unpaid balance is the responsibility of the student based on a per day prorated charge of the semester fee If student submits the UWEC housing contract and is enrolled at CVTC, the student will be held to the terms and financial commitment of this contract. All cancellation requests will need UWEC Housing Director approval. Thus, we highly advise students do not sign an off-campus lease/sub-lease until you have the decision from the Director of Housing; as release from contract does not happen often and may result in you having two lease commitments to pay. If student submits the UWEC housing contract and is an enrolled student at CVTC but credits drop below the 12-credit limit, the student must contact CVTC Student Life and UWEC Housing. These parties will review housing eligibility. Dropping below 12 credit does not constitute automatic UWEC housing contract cancellation.
