Common use of Carry Forward Option Clause in Contracts

Carry Forward Option. A. An employee with ten (10) or more years of Company Service Credit may carry forward to a succeeding year up to two (2) weeks of his or her Current Year Vacation. B. The maximum amount of carried forward vacation which an employee may have to his or her credit at any time shall be six (6) weeks. Also, the maximum vacation taken in any calendar year shall be twelve (12) weeks. C. During each year of the contract, an employee, on his/her anniversary date, may elect to cash out up to eighty (80) hours vacation. Otherwise, vacation time carried forward is not subject to payment in lieu of vacation, except upon the employee’s termination.
