Common use of Casual Nurses Clause in Contracts

Casual Nurses. (a) Casual employees shall submit their availability, in writing for the period covered by the posted work schedule at least four (4) weeks prior to the posting of the schedule throughout the year, unless on an approved leave of absence. (b) A casual employee that declares themselves available for a shift, and later becomes unavailable, will notify the Hospital as soon as the change in circumstance becomes known. (c) A casual employee who accepts a shift shall have the same obligation to work that shift as a regular employee.
