Common use of Child Rearing Leave (Revised 1994-95) Clause in Contracts

Child Rearing Leave (Revised 1994-95). An employee who is the natural parent of a newborn child shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the purpose of rearing his or her child. Such leave shall be for a maximum period of three (3) months, and shall be granted upon giving the District four (4) weeks’ notice prior to the anticipated date on which the leave is to commence when possible.
