Common use of CHIP and Medicaid Eligibility Clause in Contracts

CHIP and Medicaid Eligibility. (A) If a CHIP Enrollee becomes eligible for Medicaid, CHIP coverage will end the last day of the month prior to the start of Medicaid eligibility. (B) The Contractor will make a good faith effort to recover claims paid to a Provider after the date coverage began with Medicaid. The Contractor will recover such claims according to industry standards. The Contractor will use recovered claims to offset the total claims expenses.
