Common use of Circuit Breakers Clause in Contracts

Circuit Breakers. Each of the three breakers shall use redundant breaker failure protection and an automatic reclosing relay. ‘A’ and ‘B’ package breaker failure protection will be performed by two (2) SEL 351- 6 relays for each breaker at the station for a total of six (6) breaker failure relays. Reclosing will be performed by one (1) SEL 351-6 relay for each breaker in the station for a total of three (3) reclosing relays. DTT is required between the new Xxxxxxxx Substation and Connecting Transmission Owner’s Marshville and Cobleskill Substations for breaker failure protection. The scheme will use the DTT channel available in the GARD 8000. DTT is required between the Xxxxxxxx Substation and the East Point Solar Collector Substation for breaker failure protection. The functionality of the current differential relays will be used to provide the DTT channels. For a breaker loss-of-gas condition, the breaker will be tripped.
