Common use of City Insurance Benefit Reciprocity Clause in Contracts

City Insurance Benefit Reciprocity. In recognition of the desirability of maintaining a uniform policy City-wide with respect to insurance benefits and notwithstanding the foregoing provisions contained in this Article, the parties agree that if the City makes any changes, modifications or improvements with respect to any of the City’s life insurance, dental insurance or medical/hospitalization insurance programs that are applicable to all other full-time City employees, then such changes, modifications, or improvements (including the cost sharing arrangements between the City and the employee) shall likewise be applicable to the employees covered by this Agreement on the same terms and on the same date that they are applicable to all other full-time City employees. The City and the Chapter agree that before any changes are made to the level of insurance benefits that currently exists for full-time City employees, the City will meet and discuss such changes and seek the input and suggestions of the Chapter before implementing such a change.
