Common use of Civil Service Status Clause in Contracts

Civil Service Status. All professional employees are considered Unclassified Civil Service and, therefore, are not subject to rules and regulations of the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission. However, the qualifications for, and the nature and scope of the duties and responsibilities, as stipulated by the College's Board of Trustees are filed with the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission to comply with Section 35(i) of the Civil Service Law, and the State University of New York and can be obtained upon written request of the College's Records Access Officer (Vice President for Administration).
