Claim Submission Periods. The Run-Out Period is the period of time following the end of the Plan Year during which claims may be submitted for reimbursement. The Year End Run-Out Period for linked HRAs is 90 Days. The Terminated Employee’s Run-Out Period is the period of time after an employee terminates employment (or loses eligibility to participate in the Plan) during which the employee can submit claims for expenses incurred during the Plan Year prior to termination of participation. If no Term Employee Run-Out Period is set, then the Year End Run-Out Period dates will apply. The Term Employee Run-Out Period for linked HRAs is 90 Days.
