Class A - Personal Illness at Full Deduction. Full deduction for personal illness days will be taken under the following circumstances: A. For the full period of absence when a CPI (with doctor's certification) is not filed following an illness of more than three (3) consecutive days and/or in conjunction with other leaves. B. For surgery for the relief of a chronic disorder, unless medical reasons require that the surgery be performed during the school year. C. For illness or bodily injury caused outside the school by another individual where damages are successfully collected. D. For newly assigned or probationary Unit members who have not had their pre-employment physical examination and whose report of that examination is not on file in the Department of Human Capital Initiatives.
