Common use of Class Size And Assignment Deviations Clause in Contracts

Class Size And Assignment Deviations. In the event that any teacher believes there are significant deviations from the class size targets/ranges and/or the other guidelines outlined in Section A above, s/he shall so advise the building principal or designee. The building principal or designee and the affected teacher will then evaluate the situation to determine if the learning environment is adversely affected by the deviations cited, and if the implementation of a remedy is appropriate. When implementation of a remedy is deemed appropriate, the principal or designee and the affected teacher will attempt to agree upon a course of action from among those described in Section 1 below. Both the Board and the Association agree to publicize the contents of this Article to the staff members affected by it or involved in its implementation. They further agree that if no timely remedy results that is satisfactory to the affected teacher, a review by the Continuing Contract Committee will be scheduled.
