Common use of CLASSIFICATION ANNIVERSARY DATE Clause in Contracts

CLASSIFICATION ANNIVERSARY DATE. Classification anniversary date is defined as the effective date upon which an employee is assigned to a new classification and the date the employee is granted salary step advancement if eligible. For persons assigned to a classification during the first sixteen (16) days of the month, the anniversary date is the first of that month. If assigned to a classification after the sixteenth of the month, the anniversary date is the first of the next month. Classification dates will not change when employees change to a new classification assigned to the same salary range as the previous classification.
