Classroom Teaching Sample Clauses

Classroom Teaching. When any additional assignments involve classroom teaching, compensation shall, at a minimum, be at the negotiated adjunct faculty pay rate as provided in the instructional faculty collective bargaining agreement.
Classroom Teaching. Effective teaching encompasses both mastery of appropriate bodies of knowledge and communication of that knowledge to students. Documentation of effective classroom teaching includes, but is not limited to, peer review and student assessments.
Classroom Teaching a. Knowledge of subject matter. b. Awareness of current developments and research in field. c. Demonstration of effective communication with students. d. Effective use of teaching methods appropriate to subject matter. e. Institutionally approved course outline. f. Evidence of course objectives being met through evaluation of student work that measures those objectives, through tests and examinations, written assignments, oral responses, etc. g. Maintenance of classroom records in accordance with District Policy. h. Evaluation of student progress in keeping with the course objectives and institutionally adopted course outlines. i. No later than completion of the seventh semester in contract status or prior to receiving tenure status, whichever occurs first, contract employees must be knowledgeable and be able to demonstrate computer proficiencies, including operating a computer, using the storage devices, printer controls, essential operating system commands, browsing the internet, receiving and sending e-mail, and the basic features of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Additionally, the contract employee will be able to demonstrate proficiency as to particular computer applications designed to meet the needs of students in the employee’s teaching field or other work area, as determined by the evaluation team and department.
Classroom Teaching. If a Nursing Practice Educator has appropriate qualifications, she/he may be given a teaching assignment each term that includes course delivery in the classroom and evaluation of students. The teaching assignment will be part of the regular workload. When teaching as the course professor, the Nursing Practice Educator will assume all academic rights and responsibilities that come with teaching a course.
Classroom Teaching. Classroom teaching shall be performed only by those employees who are hired to perform those duties. Periodically, this policy will have to be suspended. Reasons for these suspensions shall be as follows:

Classroom Teaching. (applicable largely to lecture or discussion format) √ classroom atmosphere √ speaking skills and questioning techniques of the instructor √ use of all resources within the department in order to maintain standards of instruction, grading, etc. √ objectives/organization of lecture or discussion √ use of text, printed materials and chalkboard √ use of audio-visual aids √ lab demonstration techniques

The determination of term, nursing practice, and course offerings shall be the responsibility of the Xxxx and shall be made in consultation with the Department Chair and members of the Department.
