Classrooms. Use of classrooms must be approved by the teacher responsible for the room. Furniture must be left in order and materials in the room must not be disturbed. ClassroomsThe District declares its intention to maintain classroom facilities in a clean condition to include: dusting, sweeping of floors, emptying of wastebaskets, vacuuming and washing of chalkboards. It is recognized that conditions beyond the employer's immediate control (e.g., adverse weather, employee absence) may cause occasional delay in the effectuation of this intention. Teachers agree to cooperate in this endeavor, within the scope of their professional duties. Classrooms shall be treated as needed to prevent infestation by vermin.
ClassroomsThe Employer shall provide every classroom and unit member work area on Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) property with: 17.11.1 A working telephone, or intercom, or other means of electronic communication with office personnel available to receive calls during the unit member’s work day, and 17.11.2 Peepholes or windows in classroom doors to provide visibility into the hallways or outdoor area.
