Common use of Commencement of Bargaining Clause in Contracts

Commencement of Bargaining. Bargaining for a successor contract shall begin no later than thirty (30) days prior to the last day of the official school calendar unless both parties agree to an alternate date. Meetings shall be held as necessary at times and places agreed to by both parties. In the interest of time, preliminary meetings may be held by mutual consent between the Superintendent and/or designee and the Association representative to clarify issues and exchange information. These may be requested by the President of the Association or the Superintendent and/or designee.
