Commencement of Surrogacy Leave. a) An employee who is pregnant as a result of acting as a surrogate may commence paid surrogacy leave at any time within six weeks prior to the expected date of birth of the child. Otherwise, the period of parental leave must commence no later than the date of birth of the child, unless agreed with the employer.
