Communicating with schools. The Contractor shall send a courtesy letter to LAs with details of the sampled schools in their area that are to be invited to participate. Following this, the Contractors shall send the headteachers of the schools a courtesy letter along with their survey informing them of the evaluation and asking them to pass on the questionnaires to the literacy coordinator and a Year 1 teacher. The Contractor shall use a number of strategies to encourage schools to participate in the evaluation: • The Contractor’s correspondence to schools shall stress the relevance of the proposed research and explain the importance of the information provided by school staff; • Written reminder letters shall be issued; • Targeted telephone calls shall be made to remind non-responding schools to participate. • The Contractors shall also contact schools via emails and fax to gain involvement. • As an additional incentive to take part, the Contractors shall offer schools the chance to receive aggregated, anonymised school level feedback which will allow them to track and benchmark their own progress against other schools.

  • Contractor Communication or Disclosure The Contractor shall not make any public statements, press releases, publicity releases, or other similar communications concerning the Contract or its subject matter or otherwise disclose or permit to be disclosed any of the data or other information obtained or furnished in compliance with the Contract, without first notifying the Customer’s Contract Manager and securing the Customer’s prior written consent.
