Communication with Unit Members and Union. The written notice of layoff shall be provided to unit members and SEIU Local 1021 not later than sixty (60) days before the effective day of layoff. When more than one position is affected by layoff, the District shall call a meeting of affected members to inform them of their options and elicit their preferences. This meeting will be held not later than ten (10) workdays before the earliest layoff date of any member of the group. Additional impacts bargaining, if any, shall occur prior to or within the sixty (60) day notice period.
