Company Not to Pledge Authority’s Credit. Company shall not, except in the purchase of goods, services, materials and supplies reasonably required in the ordinary course of business in the operation of the System or as may be otherwise required in the performance of its obligations under this Agreement and in either case as previously approved by the Authority, pledge the credit of the Authority; nor shall Company, in the name or on behalf of the Authority, borrow any money or execute any promissory note, installment purchase agreement, xxxx of exchange or other obligation binding the Authority or the System.

  • UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF 4:01 The Employer agrees to deduct the amount of monthly dues as determined by the Union from the salaries of each and every employee covered by this Agreement. The Employer also agrees to deduct from each and every employee covered by this Agreement the amount of any general assessment levied by the Union, with the proviso that such an assessment shall be limited to one (1) per calendar year, and that such assessment formula can be operated through the Employer‟s present payroll system.

  • NO STRIKE PLEDGE The Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement, its agents, or its members shall not authorize, instigate, aid, or engage in any work stoppage, slowdown, sick-out, refusal to work, picketing, or strike against the District. If, during the life of this Agreement, the employees, for whatever reason engage in the aforementioned provisions, the Union shall immediately publicly order the striking employees to discontinue such action through the local media. Failure of the Union to take such action shall be subject to enforcement by the ordinary process of law.

  • PROHIBITION ON CONTRACTING WITH ENTITIES USING CERTAIN TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND VIDEO SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT (Effective Aug. 13, 2020 and as amended October 26, 2020) Pursuant to 2 CFR 200.216, Contractor shall not offer equipment, services, or system that use covered telecommunications equipment or services as a substantial or essential component of any system, or as critical technology as part of any system. ‘‘Covered telecommunications equipment or services means 1) telecommunications equipment produced by Huawei Technologies Company or ZTE Corporation (or any subsidiary or affiliate of such entities); 2) for the purpose of public safety, security of government facilities, physical security surveillance of critical infrastructure, and other national security purposes, video surveillance and telecommunications equipment produced by Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, or Dahua Technology Company (or any subsidiary or affiliate of such entities);

Title to other property, the cost of which is reimbursable to the Contractor under this contract, shall pass to and vest in COMMERCE upon (i) issuance for use of such property in the performance of this contract, or (ii) commencement of use of such property in the performance of this contract, or (iii) reimbursement of the cost thereof by COMMERCE in whole or in part, whichever first occurs.
