UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 4:01 The Employer agrees to deduct the amount of monthly dues as determined by the Union from the salaries of each and every employee covered by this Agreement. The Employer also agrees to deduct from each and every employee covered by this Agreement the amount of any general assessment levied by the Union, with the proviso that such an assessment shall be limited to one (1) per calendar year, and that such assessment formula can be operated through the Employer‟s present payroll system.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 5.1 It shall be a condition of employment that all employees of the Employer covered by this Agreement who are members of the Union in good standing on the effective date of this Agreement shall remain members in good standing. It shall also be a condition of employment that all employees covered by this Agreement and hired on or after ratification of this agreement shall, on the thirtieth (30th) calendar day following the beginning of such employment become and remain a member in good standing in the Union.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. A. Conditions
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 3.01 All employees of the Company will, as a condition of employment, become and remain members of the Union in good standing. For the purpose of this Article, “membership in good standing” will mean payment of all dues and initiation fees in accordance with the Constitution and By-laws of the Union. All current employees who have not already done so will be required to sign an application for membership and authorization for dues check off and initiation fee. The application form will be supplied by the Union to the Company. The form will be signed and returned to the Local Union Financial Secretary within fourteen (14) days of the execution of this Agreement. In the case of a new employee, the form will be completed and forwarded to the Union Chairperson within one week of the employee’s date of hire.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. During the term of this Agreement, the Company agrees to deduct an amount equal to the uniform dues and/or assessments as levied by the Union for each pay period as a condition of employment of every employee in the bargaining unit, beginning with the date of hiring in the bargaining unit. The present rate of deductions is equal to one and two-thirds (1.666%) of regular salary and the same percentage shall be deducted on all additional earnings. The rate of surcharge deductions for temporary and freelance employees will be two percent (2%) of earnings payable to the Restricted Fund. The Company will be notified by registered mail of any changes in the present rate of deductions. The Union shall not require the Company to vary the deductions more than twice a year.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 2.01 All current, new and probationary employees of the Company will, as a condition of employment, become and remain members of the Union in good standing as provided in the Constitution and By-laws of the Union. All current employees who have not already done so, new and probationary employees, will be required to sign an application for membership and authorization for check off of dues and initiation fee, supplied by the Union to the Company.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 4.01 a) The Employer shall deduct from each employee in the bargaining unit the dues and remit the dues to the Union office as directed in writing by the Union.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 5.01 During the term of this Agreement the Board agrees to deduct, from each pay cheque of each Occasional Teacher, the regular monthly fees, and dues as certified by the Union to be currently in effect according to the constitution and by-laws of the Union. The Union shall notify the Board in writing, no later than August 31st for the following October 1st as to the amount of dues or fees currently in effect according to its constitution and by-laws.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 9.1 The Employer shall deduct from the pay of all employees on the first regular dues deduction date after completion of thirty (30) days of employment the amount of the monthly membership dues of the Union.
UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. Every employee within the scope of this Agreement, who is a voluntary member of the Union or who hereinafter becomes a member of the Union, shall maintain his membership in the Union as a condition of his employment. Every employee entering the bargaining unit shall, at the date of entering the bargaining unit, sign an ap- plication for membership card. The Employer agrees to deduct the monthly union dues each month from the wages of all employees who are liable for such dues under the terms of this Agree- ment, and to pay the same to the Manitoba Government Employees’ Association on or before the day of the following month. The Union will notify the Employer of any changes in the union dues not later than the of the month. Provided he shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions or subject to any penalties for failure to com- ply with this Article, the Employer shall provide to the Union on the day of each calendar month, the names, addresses and telephone numbers of all employees hired during the preceding calendar month, along with the department into which they were hired and the date of hiring of same. Dues will be checked off during leave of absence and during the periods of sick leave, provided that the Employer shall not be responsible for failing or omitting to check off such dues. Persons whose positions are excluded from this Agreement shall be permitted to perform work similar to those employees within the bargaining unit where this is for experimentation, instruction or for resolving emergencies. Should an employee be promoted or transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit and he is returned to the position he held within the scope of the Agreement within a period of three months from the date of pro- motion or transfer, he must pay the appropriate Union dues for the period that he was out of scope. Union local officers and stewards may visit em- ployees for the purpose of investigating complaints and the administration of the Collective Agreement but only with the prior of the Supervisor(s) of the employees involved. Such shall not be unreasonably withheld. To the extent possible and prac- tical, all such union activities shall be conducted during off hours.
