COMPENSATION BASED ON COST WITH MULTIPLIER. For professional and non-professional staff, City will compensate Consultant on the basis of a multiplier added to the Raw Salary Cost as shown in the table below for the Scope of Work specified in the Work Order. Professional is defined as a manager, supervisor, engineer, scientist or other recognized profession. Typically, professional employees are salaried exempt employees. Typically, non-professional employees are hourly non-exempt employees. The Raw Salary Cost for salaried employees is defined as the annual base salary excluding bonuses, burdens, and benefits divided by 2080. For hourly personnel, the Raw Salary Cost is defined as the hourly wage paid to the employee exclusive of burdens and benefits. Any shift premiums or premiums paid for hours worked in excess of 40 per week will be added to the base hourly wage and will be considered a part of the Raw Salary Cost.

The purpose of this clause is to avoid a TIPS Member inadvertently renewing an Agreement during a period in which the governing body of the TIPS Member has not properly appropriated and budgeted the funds to satisfy the Agreement renewal. Any TIPS Sale Supplemental Agreement containing an “Automatic Renewal” clause that conflicts with these terms is rendered void and unenforceable.
