Common use of Compensation for Mileage Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Mileage. (i) An Employee who is transferred shall receive a temporary travel allowance if she/he has to travel more than ten (10) kilometres further to get to work. This allowance shall be paid pursuant to Article 11.1 for the increase in distance travelled between the Employee’s residence and her/his new primary worksite as opposed to her/his former primary worksite. This allowance is payable for a period of one (1) year from the date of commencement or until she/he changes residence, whichever occurs first.
