Common use of Competitive Examination Clause in Contracts

Competitive Examination. The relative fitness of the applicants for -appointment, or promotion within the employment of the City will be determined by competitive examination, which will include the consideration and rating of any or all of the following qualification factors: education, experience, general adaptability, special aptitudes, physical fitness, knowledge , skills, personality, character, and such other qualifications as may be deemed necessary for the satisfactory performance of the duties of the respective position. All factors being equal seniority shall determine appointment .
