Compulsory Study. The School Day begins at 9.00am in Sixth Form. Students may arrive from 8:30am onwards and use the facilities or work quietly. Every student will have every subject Option (A, B, C and D/Independent Study) every day. This ensures maximum contact with expert teachers. Interventions will also be led by subject teachers, but will not include new content. They will focus on ensuring no student is behind, on wider reading, assemblies, preparation for university, and improving crucial independent study skills. There will not be ‘correction’ in the way that Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 have correction. Instead Sixth Form has Compulsory Study which is a supervised, silent independent study space. KS5 students are expected to do the right thing for the right reason. Students are expected to follow the following basic steps:
