Tuberculosis Examination. The examination shall consist of an approved intradermal tuberculosis test, which, if positive, shall be followed by an X-ray of the lungs. Nothing in Sections 5163 to 5163.2, inclusive, shall prevent the governing body of any city or county, upon recommendation of the local health officer, from establishing a rule requiring a more extensive or more frequent examination than required by Section 5163 and this section. The X-ray film may be taken by a competent and qualified X-ray technician if the X-ray film is subsequently interpreted by a licensed physician and surgeon.
Tuberculosis Examination. PARTNER shall ensure that if there is to be contact with employees working with the DISTRICT, a proper tuberculosis (TB) certificate of clearance will be provided to DISTRICT for each applicable person or employee prior to commencing initial employment. PARTNER will ensure that subcontractors will not place any person at a school without a valid TB certificate on file showing the employee was examined and found to be free from active tuberculosis, as defined in Education Code Section 49406.1 (a).
Tuberculosis Examination. Required examinations for tuberculosis shall be 28 provided by the District at no cost to employees only if District-designated service providers 29 are utilized. The TB testing procedures has added a TB risk assessment questionnaire and, 30 if risk factors are identified, the District shall require TB testing and examination to 31 determine the unit member is free of infectious tuberculosis. The examination shall consist 32 of an approved intradermal tuberculin test (Mantoux), which, if positive, shall be followed 33 by an x-ray of the lungs. 34
Tuberculosis Examination. Each new worker of the District must provide written evidence that he/she has been examined for tuberculosis within 60 days before the beginning of work. The worker may not begin work unless this examination demonstrates freedom from active tuberculosis. In order to continue employment with the District, each worker must provide evidence of a test demonstrating freedom from tuberculosis every four years. The District will pay the cost of such examinations if they are conducted in institutions specified by the District. Any worker found to have active tuberculosis shall be placed on leave of absence, subject to the usual sick leave and income protection insurance benefits. The worker shall not return to duty until a certificate signed by a physician is presented, stating freedom from active tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis Examination. (a) An x-ray of the chest or a tuberculin skin test shall be required of each employee every four (4) years (unless otherwise specified by law) and the results of such examination shall be filed with the Human Resources Office. If the tuberculin skin test shows a "positive" reaction the employee shall be required to have a chest x-ray examination. The cost of such examination(s) shall be paid by the District providing that it is administered by a medical facility retained by the District for this purpose.
(b) If the examination results in a finding that the employee is suspected of having active tuberculosis, the employee shall be immediately released of all duties, granted any paid leave benefits to which the employee may be entitled under Article 11 and shall be reinstated only after conclusive evidence is presented that the employee is free of active tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis Examination. Examinations for tuberculosis will be required every four (4) years. Such examinations shall be paid for by the District.
Tuberculosis Examination. Unit Members shall be required to submit to a tuberculosis examination once every four (4) years. The District may designate a physician or medical facility where the Unit Member shall be required to obtain the examination. Unit Members may obtain the required examination from their own physician. However, if the District has designated a particular physician or medical facility for this purpose, a Unit Member shall not be reimbursed for obtaining the examination from the Unit Member’s own physician.

CONTRACTOR shall ensure that if there is to be contact with employees working with the Santa Xxx Unified School District, a proper tuberculosis (TB) certificate of clearance will be provided to DISTRICT prior to commencing initial employment. CONTRACTOR will ensure that subcontractors will not place any person at a school without a valid TB certificate on file showing the employee was examined and found to be free from active tuberculosis, as defined in Education Code Section 49406.1 (a).
