Conditions and Eligibility for Election of Coverage. (1) Subject to the terms and conditions provided in subsections 1.c. (2) through 1.c.(3) of this Article, below, an employee shall be enrolled in basic life insurance coverage provided in subsection 1.a., above, on the 1st of the month following the completion of 180 consecutive calendar days of active service as a full-time (40-hour per week) employee following his initial date of employment with the City.
