Eligibility for Leave. All regular full-time employees shall be eligible for paid leave. Further, all regular part-time employees shall receive paid leave on a ration of paid leave time accrued to the number of hours worked in the work week. All non-regular part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees will not be eligible to receive paid leave.
Eligibility for Leave. The bargaining unit member shall provide a certificate from a licensed physician stating the nature and duration of the disability and the necessity of absence from regular employment. In addition, the Board may require the member claiming more than five (5) days of Assault Leave to submit to a medical examination by a Board approved physician. If the Board requires such a medical examination, the full cost of the examination, including mileage reimbursement, shall be borne by the Board.
Eligibility for Leave. A unit member becomes eligible for an unpaid leave of absence, with the exception of parental leave, after he/she has permanent status as defined in Education Code Section 44929.21b. He/she may apply for that leave any time after establishing permanent status.
Eligibility for Leave. An employee who has worked full time during the 12 months preceding the date a request is made under this section shall be presumed to be eligible for family care and medical leave. For purposes of this section, ten-month employee will be deemed to have met the one-year requirement if they serve the full school year. Included in the assessment of eligibility shall be any paid leave of absence granted for reasons which would otherwise entitle an employee to family care and medical leave.
Eligibility for Leave. A bargaining unit member requesting Professional Leave for attendance at a professional conference shall apply for said leave by submitting electronically using the absence reporting system. The supervisor, recommending said leave, shall present said request to the Superintendent for final approval.
Eligibility for Leave. Except for leaves of absence for ill health, child care and military, and leaves under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), for which all bargaining unit members are eligible, leaves of absence without pay and fringe benefits may be granted only to bargaining unit members who have been granted tenure in the district and have completed four (4) or more years of service in the district.
Eligibility for Leave. Any employee who has a work assignment of at least seventy-five percent (75% FTE) of a full-time twelve (12) month assignment and has rendered service to the District for at least seven (7) consecutive years is eligible for a Staff Development Leave.
Eligibility for Leave. A bargaining unit member will be entitled, upon request, to a leave to begin at any time between the birth of the member's child and one (1) year thereafter. Said member will notify the Superintendent in writing of his/her desire to take such leave and, except in cases of emergency, shall give such notice at least thirty (30) days prior to the date on which his/her leave is to begin.
Eligibility for Leave. An employee who is pregnant and who declares in writing to be the primary caregiver, or an employee who declares in writing to be the primary caregiver of a new born or adopted child, and who holds an appointment that is probationary, with tenure, with continuing status, or without term is entitled to leave of 52 weeks. An employee who holds an appointment for a limited term and has been employed by the University for one year preceding the anticipated birth or custody of a child is entitled to leave of 52 weeks or until the end of her/his appointment, whichever occurs earlier.
Eligibility for Leave. A member may initiate a request or be assigned to attend professional conferences designed to improve the member’s effectiveness in his/her assigned area(s).
