Conditions of entitlement to sick pay. For entitlement to sick pay for the first 14 days, the following conditions apply: If the agreed period of employment is less than one month, entitlement to sick pay only arises if the employee started employment and has subsequently been employed for 14 consecutive calendar days. If an employee is re-employed by the same employer within 14 calendar days of the end of the previous employment, the latter period must be taken into account for the purposes of calculating the qualifying period referred to in the first paragraph, irrespective of the break in employment.
