Common use of Conscientious Objector Status Clause in Contracts

Conscientious Objector Status. 19.4.1 If a bargaining-unit member is a member of a bona fide religion, body or sect that has historically held conscientious objections to joining or financially supporting public employee organizations, or the bargaining-unit member can document a history of recognized conscientious objection in other similar situations based on strongly held personal convictions, he/she may file an application for Conscientious Objector status with the Association. Such application must be accompanied by appropriate documentation and a signed continuing payroll deduction authorization form, and must be received by the Association on or before the dates specified in 19.3.
