Common use of Continuation and Bargaining Clause in Contracts

Continuation and Bargaining. (a) During the period when negotiations are being conducted between the Parties for the renewal of this Agreement, the present Agreement shall continue in full force and effect until: (i) the Union commences a legal strike; or (ii) the Company commences a legal lockout; or (iii) the Parties enter into a new or further Agreement.

(b) During the continuation period provided in (a) above, neither party shall attempt to take any action or make any changes in the terms and conditions of employment, which would be inconsistent with the express terms of this Agreement.
