Continuation of Enrollment (Life Insurance. a. With respect to the District-paid life insurance plan, coverage for an employee on an unpaid leave of absence other than for illness or industrial injury/illness shall not be provided until such time as the employee returns to active service in an eligible assignment. Coverage for an employee on an unpaid leave of absence for illness or industrial injury/illness shall continue for one (1) year after which termination of coverage shall be processed and a conversion plan offered upon request.
