Common use of Continuation of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Continuation of Sick Leave. In the event of an employee's absence due to sickness or injury, said employee will be eligible to receive benefits under the Region's sick leave plan until such time as their sick leave credits are exhausted, regardless of the cause of the sickness or injury. Workers' Compensation payments shall be reimbursed to the sick leave plan if the Region receives the Workers' Compensation payments when the claim is approved.
