1. Provide and maintain a safe work environment. 1. Ensure your own actions or inactions do not cause harm to yourself or others.
2. Ensure all known hazards are assessed and controlled. 2. Prompt reporting and active participation in assessment of all identified hazards.
3. Promptly deal with any health and safety issues that are brought to its attention. 3. Report any hazards, accidents, substandard conditions or near hits you come across in the course of your work to your supervisor and participate actively to assess any risk.
Employer and Employee Obligations. 1.9.1 The Employee must:
(a) be accountable to the Employer through their Manager/Supervisor and carry out all lawful instructions and directions of the Manager/Supervisor;
(b) devote the Employees’ whole time and attention to performing their duties;
(c) observe all policies and procedures of the Employer (as may be varied from time to time);
(d) observe all relevant safety regulations and related procedures;
(e) attend, and successfully complete, the Employer’s induction and training programs.
1.9.2 The Employee’s duties, and the policies and procedures that are applicable to the Employee, may be varied by the Employer from time to time according to the requirements of the Employer.
1.9.3 The Employer shall provide a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995

The Region shall observe all accepted safety practices and Health and Safety Legislation, and provide at no cost to the employee all necessary safety clothing, devices or appliances that may be required for the protection of its employees. Employees will work in compliance with all applicable Health and Safety Legislation and all Regional safety policies/procedures unless a higher level of protection is afforded by this Agreement.

1.1 The employer and the employee are under obligation to conduct themselves in the manner befitting a good employer and a good employee.
1.2 Employees conducting scientific research, or involved in that, have the obligation to perform their research according to generally accepted standards for scientific proceedings. Tenor of the Collective Labour Agreement
Employer and Employee Obligations. (a) The Company will take all necessary precautions to maintain safe, sanitary, and healthful conditions at all work places and will, as a minimum, fulfill all of its obligations under Part II of the Canada Labour Code.
(b) Health and Safety is of paramount importance to all personnel. All employees have obligations under Part II of the Canada Labour Code. All persons working within Cascade Aerospace will be expected to observe established health and safety policies and to immediately report unsafe or harmful conditions, equipment, or practices in accordance with the Hazard Identification procedure where possible to their Supervisor and/or a Health and Safety Committee member who shall investigate, and, if deemed necessary, arrange to correct the problem as soon as possible.
(c) The Company shall ensure that the health and safety at work of every person employed by the Company is protected.

Employer and Employee Obligations. 9.1 The employee shall:
9.1.1 Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions of the employer.
9.1.2 Perform his/her duties with all reasonable skills, diligence and in the best interests of the employer and the employment relationship.
9.1.3 Devote the whole of the employee’s time and attention during working hours to the performance of the employee’s obligations under this agreement
9.1.4 Positively promote and protect the interests of the employer.
9.1.5 Deal with the employer in good faith in all aspects of the employment relationship.
9.1.6 Take all practicable steps to perform the job in a way that is safe and healthy for the employee, his/her fellow employees and any other person.
9.1.7 Use the employee’s best endeavours to prevent the disclosure of confidential information.
9.1.8 Notify the employer of any pending criminal charges or serious traffic offences which may affect the employee’s ability to carry out his/her duties or affect the trust and confidence in the employment relationship.
9.2 The Employer shall:

9.2.2 The employer will deal with the employees in good faith on all aspects of the employment relationship.
9.2.3 The employer will provide adequate facilities – clean toilets, hygienic eating areas.
9.2.4 The employer will provide instruction, training and supervision for employees.
Employer and Employee Obligations. General obligations
1. The employer and the employee are under obligation to conduct themselves in the manner befitting a good employer and a good employee.
2. Employees conducting scientific research, or involved in that, have the obligation to perform their research according to generally accepted standards for scientific proceedings.
3. Upon commencement of employment the employee will be furnished with a letter of appointment or labour agreement, a valid copy of the CLA or otherwise be authorised access to a digital version thereof. The employee will be notified - in writing - of the amendments to the CLA as soon as possible.
4. The employee shall comply with all schemes, rules and instructions pertaining to him. These too, will be published in writing.
5. The employee is under obligation to keep all his function-related information confidential insofar as the nature of his work dictates this, or confidentiality has been otherwise explicitly imposed.
6. This obligation also prevails after the termination of his employment.
7. This obligation does not apply to those who share in the employee‟s responsibility to properly perform his or her duties, nor to those whose cooperation is deemed essential for that practice, unless these persons, too, are bound to confidentiality or have agreed to be bound by such confidentiality. The provision in the previous sentence is applicable with due observance to statutory provisions concerning professional secrecy.
8. The obligation to observe confidentiality may not be at variance with the academic freedom mentioned in article 1.6 of the WHW.
9. Without prejudice to the statutory provisions binding the employer, the employer is prohibited from disclosing any information to third parties with respect to individual employees, unless the individual employee has given his written consent to the release of that information.
10. The employee needs to ask permission prior to performing additional activities that may be related to the position that the employee holds, and/or that may affect the interests of the employer. The employee will be granted permission to perform additional activities unless the proper performance of the employee‟s duties is not ensured within reason or if the employer‟s interests may otherwise be damaged.
