Continued Accrual of Sick Leave. Sick leave after the first twelve (12) calendar months of continuous service shall accrue to the employee at the rate of 0.046 hours per hour worked and will be credited to the employee's account on a monthly basis worked without limit; however, no accumulation of sick leave shall accrue to the benefit of any employee while he or she is absent from work for twenty (20) or more calendar days in a month as a result of an on-the-job injury, illness, or leave without pay.

However, no accumulation of sick leave shall accrue to the benefit of any employee while he or he/she is absent from in unpaid leave of absence. Regular Part-Time employee sick leave accrual is pro-rated in accordance with their normal work for twenty (20) or more calendar days in schedule. For Regular Full-Time and Part-Time employees hired after June 1, 2016, sick leave shall be accumulated to a month as a result maximum of an on-the-job injury, illness, or leave without pay1,200 hours.
