Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery. The actual undergoing of open chest surgery for the correction of one or more coronary arteries, which are narrowed or blocked, by coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). The surgery must have been proven to be necessary by means of coronary angiography and realisation of surgery has to be confirmed by a Specialist acceptable to the Company. The following are however excluded: Angioplasty; Any other intra-arterial procedures; Key-hole surgery
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery. The actual undergoing of open heart surgery to correct the narrowing or blockage of two or more coronary arteries with bypass grafts. Angiographic evidence of significant coronary artery obstruction must be provided and the procedure must be considered medically necessary by a consultant cardiologist. The following are excluded: - Balloon angioplasty. - Interarterial catheter based techniques. - Laser procedures. • Kidney Failure End stage kidney disease presenting as chronic irreversible failure of both kidneys to function. This must be evidenced by the undergoing of regular renal dialysis or undergoing a renal transplant.
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery. The undergoing of open heart surgery on the advice of a Consultant Cardiologist to correct narrowing arteries with bypass grafts but excluding balloon angioplasty, laser relief or any other procedures.
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery. The undergoing of heart surgery to correct narrowing or blockage of one or more coronary arteries with bypass grafts. Surgery must have been recommended by a Physician who is a cardiologist.
