CORRECTIVE DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE. For the purposes of this section, “approved leave” shall include absences of more than three (3) consecutive calendar days, pursuant to a statement from the attending Physician or Family Medical Leave, upon approval of Department Head or Township Administration. For the purposes of this section “compensable” shall include: filed and certified workers compensation leave. Excessive use of sick leave without being on an approved leave of absence, FMLA, Bereavement Leave, or a compensable injury will be viewed as a work rule violation and will result in corrective progressive discipline action. For the purpose of implementing corrective progressive discipline, the following procedures are established.
