Council Rights and Privileges. Upon request, the Board agrees to allow the Council access to all public information necessary for its functioning as exclusive bargaining representative. B. Released Time for Designated Representatives Meetings Whenever any representative of the Council or any teacher participates during working hours in grievance proceedings or in negotiations, conferences, or meetings called by the District, he/she shall suffer no loss in pay. a. The Association shall have the right to meet with current employees during regular work hours at the employees’ worksite to address grievances, complaints, and matters related to employment relations. b. The District shall grant GPEA building representatives and the Executive Board reasonable time to perform union duties during regularly paid work hours without loss in pay, benefits, leave accrual, or seniority. GPEA shall submit a list of these representatives to the District by September 1st of each year. Union duties include, but are not limited to: 1) Investigate and process grievances and process workplace complaints 2) Attend investigation and discipline meetings 3) Prepare for and participate in administrative hearings, arbitration proceedings, and XXX hearings 4) Prepare for and participate in bargaining sessions and labor management meetings 5) Comply with a subpoena 6) Conduct one-on-one interviews with bargaining unit members 7) Attend union trainings
