Common use of Courses, Workshops or Meetings Clause in Contracts

Courses, Workshops or Meetings. (a) Paid leave to attend education workshops, training courses or professional meetings for a period of not less than six (6) hours shall be considered a full working day. (b) For twelve (12) hour shift employees paid leave to attend educational workshops, training courses, or professional meetings for a period of not less than six (6) hours shall be considered a seven and one-half (7.5) hour work day. The remaining three and three-quarters (3.75) hours shall be worked on the same day as the educational workshop, training course, or professional meeting day unless it is mutually agreed otherwise. (c) No employee shall suffer a loss of pay as a result of time spent in or travelling to and from education workshops, training courses or professional meetings.
