Common use of Criteria for Use Clause in Contracts

Criteria for Use. Educational days and funds must be used for 8 bona fide education related to the nurse’s current position or likely nursing 9 opportunities within the Agency, which will benefit both the Agency and the 10 nurse. Educational offerings for basic core competencies required for the nurse’s 11 current position shall be excluded. The days and funds utilized for 12 non-mandatory in-house educational offerings shall be limited to formalized 13 public class or workshop offerings typically associated with CEU credits or 14 nursing practice enhancement, unless otherwise approved by the Professional 15 Nursing Care Committee. The funds may also be utilized for reimbursement to a 16 nurse for the cost of a certification or re-certification examination upon the 17 nurse’s successful completion of the examination. The PNCC shall determine 18 compliance with these fund criteria. The Agency may require nurses to make 19 oral and/or written presentations regarding their educational experience to other 20 Agency staff.
